We're already 2 days At sea from this intriguing nation. A proud democracy with presidential elections this Nov. And first time a woman will be on their ballot. We journeyed along the huge Chinese Belt Road and the Old railway, still used completed in early 1900's.

Walvis Bay, Namibia, Tour to Swakopmund
Drive around the fishing port of Walvis Bay, with a brief visit to the lagoon and tidal flood plains. Continue on to Swakopmund via the coastal road. This beautiful town at the mouth of the Swakop River is described as ‘a slice of Germany on the edge of the desert’. Many buildings date back a century and are national monuments, serving as reminders of a colonial past. Step into the Swakopmund Museum and the Kristall Galerie, with displays of crystals weighing up to 14 tons, or browse the Brauhaus Gallery stores.
